Day 2 : 7:00 Breakfast, comeback Vientiane Capital visit to Thatlouang Stupa one of the most important monuments in Laos and considered a national symbol. It was built to cover a smaller stupa that was believed to hold a piece of Buddha's breastbone, a holy relic
Then head to Patuxai, a triumphal arch constructed to commemorate those who died during World War II and in the battle for independence from France.
Next, visit to Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple that survived the war with the Siamese in 1828. See its cloister of more than 8,000 Buddha statues, including the Emerald Buddha.
After that have lunch at a local restaurant before visit hor phakeo this ancient temple was built in 1565 by King Sayasetthathirath to house the Emerald Buddha 1565-1779 During the 1970s the temple was converted from a place of worship into a museum and now houses the finest national collection of Buddhist sculptures and artifacts. From the terrace of Ho Pra Keo, one can enjoy a view overlooking the president’s Palace (former Royal Palace) and garden.
